My buddy Alfredo has the RA1 Toyos. I wanted to know if anyone ran with T1S and what time they ran. The tires are good but don't nesasarily know what they will do at the track. Did anyone run tires with treadware near 280 which is what my T1S have?

You can run them on a track. They won't blow up on you or something. You just won't be as fast as with stock advans or RA-1's or something. My buddy Vlad ran T1-s's on his DSM a while back and thought they performed alright for a track day.

It all comes down to economics. I am not going to spend $1000 on tires for four or 5 track days. R is nice but is running a few seconds faster woth $1000 :?: To me it is not worth it since I may track my car twice a year at most. I just want to have fun at the track and needed to know how tires do under stress.

I have been on the net searching for both of these tires prices and they are not much diff. And when I say different I mean in price. Might as well go with the RA-1's. Closet if not better then the stock advans.

Speed World Challenge guys run RA-1's, so yes your sarcasm is incorrect and they do know nothing about running t1-s's. The t1's are a much more all weather rounded performance tire while the Ra-1 is a much more trackday/ good weather street tire. When fresh they are used as rain tires in classes where they often run slicks in the dry. Great tires with lots of grip.
