Hey Guys, BlazeGT4 is the real chief of this event. Robi and I are also promoting it. This shop is "agnostic" as GT40 likes to put it. They are great guys with tons of DSM and EVO experience. We all benefit from another thriving shop. Mike Welch has personally vouched for this shop on other threads as having his personal seal of approval.

If you're going to dyno, sign up in the 909 Meet Thread (please). This way we keep one list.

We have room for up to 10 dyno runs. If we go over that number, I've offered to give up my spot.

Blaze, sorry if posting this in the General section has caused some confusion. I just wanted to give more exposure to Tuning Technologies than the 909/951 forum would provide. That thread is pretty lightly traveled.

Folks, please direct your questions to BlazeGT4. I'm just a promoter.

Dude:

Apologies, are not necessary at all. This is a great shop and the extra attention is very much appreciated. :D

My concerns regarding the list are that we have a limited amount of time and spots. Thus once the list get's over 10 (for dyno spots) the shop cannot garuntee availability.

It's my opinion that the shop may be inclined to stay open later to accomodate additional cars and/or may extand the special pricing to SoCal member who attend but are unable to dyno Sunday. I'd have to confirm this with the shop.

So again, the publicity is appreciated. Thanks very much and I look forward to seeing all of you there.

Guys:

Spoke with Tuning Technologies this afternoon. Chris states that if we need more spots for cars to dyno, they'll extend the shop ours to 7PM to accomodate us. Further more, if more then 15 cars are going to be on the dyno, he'll call in an additonal tech to help get the cars on and off faster.

So basically, we should be able to dyno upwards 15-20 if desired.

Put those cars up. The dyno is about the only place your car will kick my cars ass... Well maybe the 1/4 mile too (I'm afraid of Smoggie). I don't need to worry everyone aready knows I have a small penis. ;-) (someone told on EVOM)

Don't get too hung up on Dyno results. They vary widely and are unreliable. I know from personal experience. If you don't have a bone stock baseline Dyno from the same machine that you Dyno on after you have your engine mods, it won't mean anything, expecially on different types Dyno machines (Dynojet, Mustang Dynomomoter, etc. etc.).

It's track times that matter, not Dyno results.

As for strip clubs, "you don't go down to the BBQ to smell the steaks."

Have fun anyway.

LMFAO

Blaze
12-12-2004, 09:20 AM
The DynoJet systems are supposed to be very consistant. (Which is only good if you continue to test on DynoJet systems).

If you switch back and forth between this, a Mustang and whatever other dynos are are there, your results will vary greatly.

I just got back from Tuning Technologies. What a great turn out. I didn't get a real count but almost 20 Evos showed up.

I think around 15 dynoed their Evos. My Evo wasn't there due to paint work on my rear bumper, but it was there in spirit.

After I get my downpipe and HF cat, I'll be back on the dyno.

A big thumbs up to Tuning Technologies in Colton. It is really great to have a shop run by two stand up guys so close by. I hope all you I.E. guys take advantage of this new resource. I left with a couple of good dyno charts. Here is a my chart on my 91 octane map:

Pump tune: 345whp/311ft lbs.

I had a great time at the meet, everyone was real cool and had some nice cars. Thanks to tuning technologies for being a couple of stand up guys and running things as well as they did, I will definitely go back there for some more dyno time. :D

Oh I'm using 17x9.5 +38 wheels( but the RPF1's in theis size/grip are really too light (they flex quite abit) AND they'er not Mueller proof (even if he is easier than I on the equipment)...lol so I guess I'll go to those SWEET NTO3's (heavier but if they can take what a skyline can dish out...)
