Newbie just want to drop in and say Hi. Found this site though evolutionm.net. I currently drive 02 Civic Si hatchback and looking for something with more Hp. My 3 choices are EVO, STI, and G35c. My wife thinks the STI looks like a Taxi cab, so it's out.

I test drove 04 G35c. It had nice power and is great looking both inside and out. The 05 6MT coupe will have even nicer interior with more Hp. 05 G35c with 6MT won't arrive until early February 05.

I went to Mitsu dealer to check out the EVO. When I saw the MR, my jaw dropped. I saw both silver and grey. Both are very nice. The interior is not great, but acceptable. The dealer did not allow test drive. I'm cool with that since I wouldn't want to buy a performance car like Evo that has been abused by test drivers.

The G35c is a very nice everyday car, but I definitely will not get the kind of "kick" that the Evo will give me. I'm leaning toward the Evo, but the harsh ride concerns me. Since I did not get a test drive, it's hard to make a decision.

Would anyone here in LA county with stock MR or GSR be kind enough to give me a test ride around the blocks. I want to feel how rough the ride is with stock MR and GSR suspension. I also want to feel the boost.

Sorry for the long post. Thanks ...

MY ADVICE: Get the MR while you can! Mitsu only made 1000 or so of em, and 750 of em are in the US. If you don't belive me check the article someone posted about them today in a diff thread.

[EDIT] Here's thread incase you wanted to know.

I am buyng my Evo from Huntington Beach Mitsubishi. Tom, the owner let me drive his demo and that was all it took. They had a nice fully loaded MR on the showroom floor last weekend.

I say Mitsubishi is making up horse shit, there is like 500+ MR owners on Evo M already, think about those that havn't been sold and havn't find out our site or EvoM..

MR if your going to keep the warranty,

GSR if your going to mod a little but still make it your daily driver,

RS if you are a total tuner and already have a turbo sitting at your house.

Oh man I gotta say I still love the G35c I know I'm gonna get flamed for this but G35c is just so beautiful lol. I've been in love with it ever since I first saw it, and I still am. Too bad I couldn't afford it, but I still love my Evo.

Evos should be taken to the tracks like Streets of Willows for test drives. :skid:

This is where you can really appreciate the Evo over other cars. I think someone did 1.26 with a stock MR.

I'm no expert but I'm glad I picked the Evo over the G35.

boo!!! they're not that far off in price... Evo is more of a enthusiest car... G35 is more for people who just buy the car to go to and from work

Thanks for the advise, guys. Like I stated on the original, I'm leaning toward the Evo (not sure yet GSR or MR). My main concern is how rough the ride will be with Evo stock suspensions. From what I have read, it's pretty rough. I will be commuting 60 miles a day.

I was hoping someone in LA with stock suspensions GSR or MR can let me ride along in the passenger seat to see how rough the ride is. If the ride is too rough, I will probably go with the 05 G35c. Thanks.

MR is a nicer ride than the GSR. Less bouncy and harsh, but nothing a good set of coilovers wouldn't fix. :D

the MR isnt a limited run model. the 750-1000 cars is complete BS.

I love my daily 100 mi a day commute from Sn Berdo to OC and back

I've driven a Ford F150 and a X-type Jag. I've never driven a G35 but I'm sure it won't be as fun as diving an Evo.

Nono you misread me. There's about 1000 in the US, and around 750 of them are sold. I'd snag the MR in a heartbeat, but the time-span on them being around isn't long (6 months at MOST) unless Mitsu decides to make some more. MR's sell like hotcakes, same with the '05 Mustangs. In that Top Gear video posted earlier, 05 Mustangs have a average span of 15 min on a dealership lot or something.
