I have 8K miles on my Evo and already have a hole in the floormat where my left heel goes. Any suggestions on aftermaket floormats? I couldn't find much info. in evolutionm.net either.

Thanks!

Ok, here's my stupid question of the day. Am i going to be able to get new floor mats thru warranty since my '04 with 8K miles has a hole in it already?

I'd try that first. I don't believe it's listed as a wear item, so you may be able to get it warrantied.

I just went to Union Mitsu to see if they'll warranty my floormat, but he said ALL warranty claims for the Evo SPECIFICALLY must go thru corporate. He says i'll have a better chance arguing my warranty claim than he would, so he gave me the phone# to mitsu corporate. This should be interesting when i call them.

Keep us informed lol Hope you dont have mods ... LOL You know ... Like an airfreshner .. It affected the fabric of the floormat so it was damaged ... or some shizzle ..

I think the dirt from my shoes might've voided my warranty...

That's bull crap. The dealer needs to deal with it and not have you calling corporate, that's the dealers job! Period, end of story. SLACKERS!

I wrote service for ten years, I can't believe the level of service that dealer is providing. What happens if you wear a hole in your carpet during the warranty period. I would think that the floor mats would be cheaper to warranty.

Heh, ok just got done speaking with Mitsu Corporate. Like Evo Neil said, its the dealers job to talk to corporate. Anyways, corporate is going to call the service manager, then the service manager is going to call the district rep. I will have an answer by next Friday hopefully.

Woo, these grids just arrived and they are NICE! It even extends on the left to allow your left foot to slide on for the clutch area. I'll install them and take pics once the dealer gets my new floor mats in cuz Mitsu accidentally shipped the Lancer floor mats.

I'll post pics once i install them on my new floor mats which i have yet to receive. If its snowing where you are, these are not a substitute since these only prevent the carpet from being worn from the heel of your shoe.

Mine were gone in 5000 miles. SM Mitsubishi gave me a new set no questions asked.

They did say I would only get one set though. Now, another 6000 miles they are starting to wear again.

DO WHAT GOKU DOES, SKIN A BULL, AND USE THE COW HIDE FOR NEW MATTS.

THEN USE THE HORNS AND MOUNT THEM TO THE HOOD OF YOUR CAR!

Hi ya'll...,
I never had that problem with my floormats. Is your floormat hooked into the ring that's attached to the floor?

Hmmm.....every try velcro? You can buy it at Staples. These Momo grids "might" prevent your mats from sliding around since your foot won't get "stuck" on the carpeting and will instead slide on the aluminum. However, i got the grids just to prevent premature wear in the cheap floor mat.
