JGTC and ME at Calif. Speedway

I ran HPDE at California Speedway road course with SpeedVentures yesterday (Fri. Dec. 17). It is a great, high speed track. Running on part of the Nascar Oval was incredible. Had a great time driving.

Not only that, but the JGTC drivers were running practice races in preparation for the big event this weekend (Dec. 18 & 19). During a long lunch break and in the evening under the lights after Speed Ventures was done, the JTC cars flew and screamed down the Nascar Oval. Had a great view from the stands.

There were several other EVOs in HPDE, but none from JGTC. John Mueller and Kent Jordan were there with Kent's car. Robi was there and so was the Sparco car. Aaron Bitterman brought his EVO too. It was a great day!

Ah, I like Mr. Mueller's trailing brake going into 18 on the first lap. Nice.
Too bad there's not a clean lap on the video. He's about 6 seconds off the SCCA lap record for the class. Some more developing and a clean course and we're going to see an Evo win some SCCA races.

what was his top speed on that track? I was getting motion sickness just watching the video.

Kent's car is fast and John is a great driver. Don't know his time, but it is a real time video, so you could just time it yourself.

yeaa JGTC was awesome haha. my dad is manager for KUMHO tires and his company sponsored one of the GT cars( it was a black nsx) so me and my friend got VIP passes to it. it was tiite. we went down on the race track and shook hands w/ da drivers and w/ the models :D (damn their hot) :twisted: and i even got to sit in one of the cars. haha those cars were looud i was rite next to the cars as they were coming inside the pit stop. my ears went numb after one of them burned out. haha good times. ill post up pics laters
