I'm thinking of getting my evo a nose job and removing the mitsu triangle schnoz. after doing a quick photochop, I think it would look pretty clean:

can anyone recommend a good but not-too-ridiculously-expensive body shop? what do you think something like this would cost (ballpark)?

depends on which camp you are from, but I think it looks a little like the upcoming 9 and a little like the 7 as well. Whichever, IMO, it looks good.

i like it. id be down with doing the same thing if it worked out to be less than $599 for the evo 7 front.

i assume it would be, but then again i know nothing about custom fabrication like that.

nah, I think it would look unfinished without the emblem, plus I want to keep a somewhat OEM look.

yeah it does look a lot like the 9, but even better since the 8 has a much bigger intercooler opening.

I seriously want to do it; can anyone who can give a rough estimate chime in?

i know a shope here in HB that does some custom work, but they use resin-based carbon fiber as a medium

Looks good, cost might not be worth it. Could just get a new bumper, just my .02 cents.

There is a body shop my friend had a lot of stuff done to his car at out in my area. The name is santini's. They are located in pomona I think, they do a lot of custom body and paint work, his car turned out beautifully. I am sure they could do it, I can get you there info if you are interested, though I have no idea on pricing.

I can say the same. I've seen some cars that came out of their shop, very nice work.
