lost boost with injen intake/upper ic...is this normal?

i just installed the injen intake/upper ic. the boost pressure used to peak ~19.5, but now it peaks at 18. just wondering if that's normal or not. a little advice would be nice, too. thanks

make sure everything is tight(all of your clamps). and check your BOV. you should spool up a little faster than stock.

If anything, you should have gained a bit (at least in response) due to the lack of the upper IC pipe no longer expanding.

So no, it's should not be normal. Start looking for leaks. There's a thread about how to pressure test your system somewhere around here. Do a search for it (perhaps in the cellar).

although the pressure peaks lower, the turbo is spooling a lot earlier, so i did gain in response. thanks for the responses, i guess i'll just check for leaks.
