Looking to pick one up locally if possible, I am in orange county. Also, I have heard there is reception loss w/ the Perrin, is that true, and if so, what do you guys use that has the least reception loss. (besides stock) Thanks.

UPDATE : Just got my s2k in...I just got in the car and turned on the radio, and most stations come in as clear as before, with the exception of one. I still get "the fish" good, so im cool. :) I don't even think any washer is needed, it sits flush enough for my liking. Heres the pics:

goto honda, ask for a new pilot antenna, walk outside to your car, unscrew the original antenna, screw in the new antenna, realize how easily you could have swiped an antenna from the s2k parked next to you, enjoy

The Honda Element one works too, which is what I have on my car. I believe the S2K, Pilot and Element antenna are all the same. Easy to swipe, haha (don't do that).

They all leave a little gap at the base, easily filled with a .15 cent rubber washer from Home Depot. Reception is slightly less than stock but the look is infinitely better.

Thanks for the input everyone...I just ordered an s2000 antenna for 19.95 before shipping. The pilot antenna is actually integrated into the glass, so its not the same as the element or s2k. On the site I ordered the s2k antenna from, the element antenna actually costs more, and has a different part number. I believe the element one is a little shorter. Oh well, I hope I can still get good reception with this thing. :)

You can always take one off a S2K, or an element!!!!! But they are only 10 bucks at the dealer, wither honda, or acura, acura might be more! But remember if you swipe one, Just remember Karma! Thats why I bought mine!

Try 30-40. :?

i ordered a 2.5 inch one off ebay and it fits like a charm. works well too. however i dont get as much distance on it as a stock one. for example i dont get reception in oceanside as i would a stock antenna. i listen to cd's more anyway so its basically just for looks and it was only 9.95, and about $14 after shipping.

shit I got mine for $10 shipped, from some honda dealer back east! cant remember where they were or who they were, I was just searching, and found it, I think they are different prices for the acura mdx, and the element, and the s2k! s2k might be the most expensive one! I think I bought an element one! I know acura ones were $22
