05 GSR in the rain 1/9/05

Got good use of the AWDw/ F&R LSDs, ABS, EBD, & ACD "GRAVEL" setting today. I am also very pleased with the traction of the stock tires in the wet. I had very large wake on the FWY in many areas (turns too) and the tires were very predictable.

I was able to do a 2-3mph rolling full throttle burst. Substandard tires grip in the dry has me wondering about (complete) driveline clutch, gear, & gear oil life, and the tendency to drift (crash) at the substandard tires limit of adhesion.

I got my front tires to spin in a 4th gear pull on the freeway at about 85 mph....I THINK the rears stayed hooked, but I let of fast so im not sure.

I must have been hydroplaning becvause it was unrepeatable and I normally have plenty of traction by thrid gear in the rain.

got mine to spin all 4 at about 6,000 rpm in first in the rain couple of times in first gear.
