I think it's important to ask everyone what they paid "total" out the door for their cars along with evo model and date they bought it.

Back in June 2003 i got my gsr for $33,400 out the door. Came fully loaded "means it came with the only 2 available options" moonroof and large wing. I got it for $200 under MSRP. The car i bought had a $39,800 price tag on it. Yeah, it had a 9k markup.

I couldnt wait any longer since the first day i heard of the arrival of the MR. The day after it hit showroom floors I picked one up. I didnt even shop around, just went to the first closest dealer who had one which is in my city anyways. Fresno Mitsubishi. Please dont remind me of how i slightly over paid... I got my Wicked White MR for 41...

wow.... i am planning to buy an 05 GSR from HB mitsu... that is ALOT of money. lol, i was planning on getting the cheapest GSR with no options and just a CF wing. btw, im planning to lease the car too. how much should i expect to pay a month for it? im planning to do a 4 year lease. ive never bought a car before so i dont really know much about this stuff.

it depends what his credit was and/or if he had any negative when trading in a car.

always remember this (to those planning to buy a car):

no two people will have the same financing/monthly payment. please stop making up and imagining these theoretical OTD price and monthly payments.

its sad because some dealers (for example HB) might get a bad rap because someone paid a lot for their car while others paid less.

its not always the same.

just fyi

hey macky, what if you dont have any credit?

Macky
01-13-2005, 10:47 PM
that would be almost the same as if you have bad credit.

the difference is, banks would be more likely to approve someone without credit rather than someone with bad credit.

Got my Evo MR $500 below sticker price. It's always better to get pre-approved from a bank, credit union or other financial institutions before going to the dealer to save you hours of haggling, negotiations and enjoy driving your new car sooner.

ok, the thing is that im only 17 right now and i turn 18 in april. im planning on getting the car at the end of july and im going to pay for half of the monthly payment and half of the insuranc payment and my parents pay the other half. but if i get better grades they will pay for the monthly and i just pay for the insurance. and about credit, my parents have good credit so will they be putting the car under their name? and whats pre-approving from the bank and stuff? is it best to get a lease or to get a loan a buy the car? i hear that evos or mitsubishis in general dont have a very good track record for reliable cars and that the evos would start breaking down after like 60,000 miles. im sorry i dont know anything :( i know i should talk about it later but i cant wait till i get this car. i refuse to drive any other car (as my own car) lol.

This will save you time and hassles of car buying. It is like buying your Evo with cash money and the rest will be taken care of by your own bank. As far as Mitsu cars reliability, i have a '98 montero sport @84,000 miles, no major problems, its just rumors you are hearing.

26K OTD used 03 EVO with 9k miles. The APR was 3.55% on used EVO

Payment is $404 a month (60 monthes)with no money down and $4500 in cash from trade in of RSX type S which is why I could not say no even thought it is was yellow.

The APR is biggesst factor in buying the car since the OTD price and monthly payment will rise siginficantly with a high APR. A better question is how much do you end up paying a month for EVO and your APR.

What's G.A.P. insurance?

Guaranteed Auto Protection. In the event of a total loss, this insurance will cover the difference between the Actual Cash Value and what is owed to the bank.

I'm sorry, but what would you consider a bad deal?

A good deal is what ever you think is a good deal.
