Ooohhhh...tough choices. I've always loved the LM but seeing it on the car compared to the Volks, I have to admit that the Volk looks better. But then again, in terms of performance, I believe that the LMs are quite lighj whereas the Volks are not. Volk for looks and LM for performance.

Go with the LM's, lighter and stronger than the GT-U's, but they are about doubled the price.
Also, have you look at Work VS-XX wheels? They have custom offset for the EVO since they measured my car last year.

you should check out the Work VS-XX wheels.

You wanna go staggered? is that cool for EVOs.

Yeah, Have you researched the diameter of the tires! IMO they should be the same size or your gonna blow the diff! If the tires are larger in the rear, or the front, the wheels will be turning at a different rate of speed! putting lots of strin on the diff! Correct me if I am wrong! But by my calculations you are 1.25mm larger diameter in the front!

GT-U for sure

If you want to run staggered, the Work VS-XX can be ordered with the same width but different offsets front and rear. You will have more lip on the rear, without going with wider tires.

You can call my friend (Chris) at F1 Motorsport for more info.

I really like the GT-U's. I'm a sucker for mesh wheels with "pouty" polished lips

LM's are badass but too expensive. gold GT-U's are sweet. :D

use LM on European cars, use GTU on JDM cars

GT-U for sure

Why Bevo? becuase its the heavier, weaker wheel?

CAn someone PLEASE explain to me why you would ever want to run a staggered setup with a larger rear on a car with 60/40 weight balance and an understeering problem this is going to make both of those issues worse.

But hey if you think its cool go right ahead and do it, justy dont bitch when:

A.) your car handles worse.

B.) the set up costs more than it should upfront becuase the rear tire/wheel are more expensive due to larger size.

C.) You cant rotate your tires so they wear out much more quickly and you spend way more on tires in the long run.

^^^ exactly.

if you're going to stagger on an evo, you'd want the wider setup on the front, not the back. which they often do in jdm land; notice the fatter lip up front on evos set up for the track in any issue of option magazine.

as far as which wheel, if you've got the money, go for the LMs. the gt-u looks hot, but it's a little more show than go; the LM is a serious track wheel (and those dull-finish all gold ones in the pic do NOT do them justice).

I come from the euro scene all my life so i'm a bit biased towards BBS LM's. I'm glad to see you can actually run LM's on the EVO's as caliper clearance was my biggest concern.

yes running staggar does absolutely nothing for performance. It's purely for looks. My R32 is also AWD but with the right tire selection you should be ok. I'm not sure what the tolerance is for the Evo's awd system but on the R's the Haldex system allows for 5% difference.

That white evo linked w/ the gold LM's is pure hottness...Japanese spec LM's so nice.

I was joking about you still owning it since it seems so many Evos are sold, crashed, etc... Glad to hear you still have your plans in place.
