OFFICIAL: North San Diego County Mini Meets

I've been noticing a lot of Evo's in North County lately and I think it's about time we start having some mini meets of our own. I already know of a few Evo's owners that said they were down, so now we just have to make it official. I don't know if it's too short of notice, but we can set one up for this week. For now we'll say Thursday Jan 20th at 7pm at the In-n-out on Hacienda off of the 78. I'll be glad to do the leg work on this thing until it gets off the ground. Post or pm me if you can come or if you think we need to move it to another day or location. If not we'll see you on Thursday night.

Chris you're probably right. I actually thought about that and if we start having regular meets we're definitely going to avoid scheduling them during the SD meets. No reason to draw people away from other meets when we can all chill together. I just thought this was a good idea for guys like me that are married with kids that can't always make it down to SD or people that work late and can't get down there in time.

Thomas - The order I placed for the wheels was as follows:

Toyo T-1S ~$600
Endless rotors ~$2000

It was about a $6,000 order... or look at it like $1500/corner of my car. Now you are starting to feel my pain (and that was only half of the dollar value of my mods...). :cry:

The car is at an independent appraisal specialist to calculate the value of my mods. If they don't give me good $$$ for the mods, I will try to get the salvage and have it towed to RRE for a big-ass pick-a-part sale.

Right now, I am getting $28,650 for the car alone... Keep your fingers crossed.

I need a little help from my North County Brothers. One of my friends is a scout master and he wanted to know if I could round up a few cars (EVO's or any other hooked up cars) to show to his troop. Its really no big deal, I did it for him about a year ago too. He has a bunch of 13-16 year olds and I took the EVO there and they checked it out and asked me about modding and what mags to start reading to get into it. Last time I took them for rides too and some of them just about shit themselves. Anyway, if you'd be interested in doing it or know someone who might be just pm me. Its going to be on Wednesday April 20th at 7:15pm at a church parking lot in Vista near the corner of Melrose and Oceanside blvd/Bobier blvd.

I live up in Oceanside and over the past few months have noticed a number of evo's around.* I saw what I believe was the same black evo two days in a row.* I saw a yellow one today turning from el camino to oceanside blvd.* There is a blue one that i saw turning off olive.* A white one on college (no fin).* I raced with a red one (with a CIA) a few months ago down oceanside blvd.* *I don't typically have the free time to drive down to HWY 8 for the SD mini meets.* But I would like to get together with a few of the north county locals sometime and compare notes.* My ride is mostly stock (springs and shifter) but I'm researching the dr. gray route and will start buying early next year (after the christmas bonus).* Just wanted to see if this message would reach any of the guys I've seen lately.*

Not quite sure since I live in North SD county...but if you are in the south SD area maybe try the La Jolla area. If nothing is going on at the harbor at least you can role over to University Towne Center (aka UTC) & check the chicks running arround from UCSD & the local businesses.
