MBC question

hey guys, I just ordered a hallman mbc rx pro kit(in cabin) and I have one question...I have a boost gauge inside too..can i just "t" off the line going into the cabin on the adjustable boost knob for my boost gauge? (It would save alot of hose running back into the engine) Also, I know on one part of the mbc, it goes to a "t" tap on the "bov/intake manifold" line, but im not sure where the other one goes. I think the wastegate? I know you have to take some stock lines off and cap them. but not sure. thanks guys!

Try to keep boost controller lines as short as possible but at the same time you need good boost sources. You shouldnt be running any lines inside the cabin for the boost controller, some do but its better to avoid this.

The cabin controller I saw was connected to the main body via cable. The actual mbc is still in the engine bay.

Ah yours is different. They have one that uses a cable I believe unless its a different company.

youre probably gonna have to drill a hole in the firewall cause theres no other way to run that wire (its not very maluable)

okay so I do have to run another line into the engien bay for my boost gauge. So, I should cap off BOTH lines from the stock wastegate actuator, cap the turbo nipple. then run wastegate to mbc...and "t"(bov/intake manifold) to mbc.? :?

yes, you tap your boost gauge off your manifold over by the fuel pressure regulator.

thanks toku, i wa pretty ure about where to get that boost signal, but i was just confused about where the other line for the mbc goes( i know now..wastegate)

i have one more question....why couldnt you just swap the mbc with the stock actuator? there are alreayd ther 2 lines you need right there?

cause off the stock solenoid one like goes to the maf pipe (before the turbo)
and the other is T'd off (wastegate and compressor)

the bc goes between the wastegate and compressor.

basically, you can just disconect the one line from the solenoid that T's to the compressor and wastegate, cap off the solenoid, and leave the line to the intake.

most people dont use the compressor though, they cap that and T off the line to the bov/intake mani.
its said to be more accurate

actually i can drive..hence the "1st place by stew gibbs in a 350z" :lol: we actually took 2 cars down, z and lambo. I did the timed lap in the z, and messed around other laps in the murci. I was actually coming out of a corner on the west loop(where i spun out) and took the apex wrong :( hit the gas too much and the back end didnt like me. haha and the SCC edditor just happened to be there. naw my dad was cool about it..only problem it I had the windows down haha as u can see in the pic and the whole interior was one big layer of dirt/dust :shock:
