Does anyone know where to get a guard that goes over the cut out in the rear bumper above the exhuast tip? I am runnin' rich and my EVO's butt is all sooty.

I have seen pics of two kinds (can't remember where); one is metal and sticks out a bit, and the other is a flat piece of carbon fiber. I might need both, if they will fit together.

Thanks. :)

I have the stainless steel one installed. I bought it at lancershop.com for $20something i think. The carbon fiber one looks too tacky for my tastes...

Thanks for the pic, but I don't think the steel one will do the trick for my car. Basically, it's fartin' fire.

If thats the case, the SS one would be your best bet I think... the carbon one would have the clearcoat melted I'd assume...

yeah go with a stainless steel shield. But still i think it will only save ur bumper from catching on fire. As for the soot that collects all over the back of the car i doubt it will do much to fix that.

After installing the stainless steel one, i have not seen any spewage from my exhaust on my bumper at all. Not even a speck!

I took a piece of carbon fiber we had laying around the office....A pair of scissors, 3 screws, and viola....Free heat shield...No black on my bumper...
