Just a warning to you all. I lost everything on my save. I was 23% complete with every licence completed and about 97 cars. Everthing is now gone. I have been reading on some GT4 forums that others are having this problem pop up. Back it up on another memory card after each time you play. It could save you alot of grief =(

All I did was turn on my PS2 when I got to work today. Loaded up GT4 and my save was ruined. Of all the posts I have read in the GT4 forums there is no common thing that was done to cause this to happen.

Trust me I know all the problems that can happen with saves if you make your own mistakes. All I did was power up the PS2 and it was toast. If I can induce it again I will post the steps that made it happen.

my question for you is, how do you power down your ps2? do you jsut flip the switch in the back? or do you hold down the reset button on the front til it goes into standby then flip the switch?

Power down with the reset button then flip the switch.

That happened to me once already but luckily I had a backup. It seemed that I didn't wait until the game saved itself. I powered down while the game was being saved onto the memory card and it said I had a corrupted file. I back up between every major event.
