View Full Version : Does RRE sell these 3" resonators?

I'm looking to get a 3" resonator, just like the one listed on RRE's site (above), but does anyone (ahem, goku :) ) know if they will just sell me the resonator? if not, where would i get something like this? i've searched, but with very little luck....

Yes, they do. They come in three different lengths.

I just read the title of this thread:

Then when I opened it I saw this:

A link to RRE website. Then I think to myself "Self, why would RRE post pictures for parts they don't sell?"

well, i thought perhaps they have the parts just for complete exhaust systems, and didn't sell the items in pieces. thought i would check with the rre guru's on this site.

Are those louver's in that resonator?

From what I remember those bad, they create backpressure. It like having a hundred little fins in the airflow that create turbulence. ....um these kind used to be known as Cherry Bombs iirc? =)

I wouldnt use that type, just straight through with perforations (yes those dont silence as well) to stainless or better packing material.

So all I gotta do is call the little louvers "vortex generators" and everyone will pay extra for them....

would also help if you made them out of carbon fiber and painted the outside pink or some other gay JDM color.

Fuck, I have Cherry Bombs in my exhaust? Whatever will I do? Oh yeah, realize that I have way more exhaust than my power level will ever necessitate, even using these "Cherry Bombs" and move on to using my quiet, free flowing exhaust. :oops:
