I got the link to the pics from evom.net Supposedly the car recently ran 8.66 in 1/4 mile in NZ..... I forgot where the link is though.

with those numbers one would be inclined to think that mounting the engine backwards has a positive effect on performance

so this is only a drag car? that would atlest be my assumption seeing as it runs without an intercooler just goes straight from the turbo to the intake manifold.... you would think this thing would run really really hot ... but for only 8 seconds at a time.

top fuel dragsters run basically no cooling system for the sake of weight. if you nitice if there is any sort of delay at the start line the enging is shut down. they also have ~6000hp in a ~4.5 sec quarter=1.5 mins total running time then the engine is rebuilt for the next race :D
