View Full Version : APR Front Splitter+Rain=Broken Lip and Splitter

During the past rain storm my APR Front Splitter and my Factory Lip became casulties....Here are some pics, along with pics of what I had to do to fix it...Splitter held on to the lip so well that all the plastic pieces that hold the lip to the front end broke. I have changed the zip ties from Black to Clear, so it doesn't look so ghetto (still bad though)....

Anyone have a front lip for sale?

Yea carbon fiber takes abuse when driven daily. I dont drive my car as often as most and the carbonfiber front end still takes a beating.

Mmm ouch .. sorry for your loss ... I wish they made different Carbon Fiber front lips .. Sorta like the Greddy Lip for the 02/03 WRX's .. I had one of those and no way in hell it would come off unless you broke it off because it WRAPPED up in and around the bottom of the front lip and bumper ...

Good luck in finding a replacement lip ..

HOW FAR DOES THE SPLITTER GO UNDER THE FRONT OF YOUR CAR?

IS IT COMPLETELY CRACKED OR JUST CHIPPED OFF?

IF THE APR SPLITTER GOES WAY UNDERNEATH THE FRONT OF THE CAR, JUST HAVE R.R.E. CUT THAT PORTION OUT AND MAKE IT EVEN.

JUST A THOUGHT!

The splitter is fine...I fixed it (see the pics at the bottom)...The white lip is what is broken.....

my lip just took an L too. It sucks having a lowered car with a lip scrapes on everything! :(

Billy just was concerned cause his huge freaking splitter he got might be in danger. the thing is HUGE! :shock:

No, he is not. Simply b/c his splitter would take up the whole freaking parking lot.
