View Full Version : Our new BIG brake set....

Since we have an EVO & WRX I thought I would share my new BIG brake set up on my WRX. I picked them up on Saturday and installed them yesterday.

They are the AP Racing 6 piston brake kit. The rims are 18 X 8.5.

Nice brake kit. But I'd rather have the twin piston kit dislaying your brakes in the first pic. :wink:

nice two piston set ups. IS that a 36DD Offset there.

best friend and i, 3am, juniors in high school, 9 cans of dr. pepper each(seriously) in two hours, my dog being REALLY weird, thought there was a burglar in the back yard, then realized there wasn't, "What would we do if there was a burglar?", immediate lunge to kitchen drawers to grap 'weapons', best friend luckily gets the knife drawer and pulls a big one, I grab first thing in my drawer and hit said best friend in face with my new-found 'weapon', THE MIGHTY OVEN MITT, said best friend runs around the kitchen screaming, "Do not beat me with the OVEN MITT!!!!" over and over in HORRIBLE british accent, much laughter, dad walks down (remember 3am) COMPLETELY DRESSED, hair done, everything, walks between us, ascertains Mountain Dew from fridge, 180, walks back upstairs, WITHOUT EVER ACKNOWLEDGING OUR PRESENCE, or even looking away from straight ahead, then the dog wakes up, TEARS through the living and dining rooms doing figure eights around 2 tables, then lays down EXACTLY as pre-figure-eight-mode and falls instantly back asleep. Weirdest night ever. the next day we were trying to think of our FIRST EVER e-mail address names, what else but oven_mit. only later did we learn there are two t's now two t's looks funny to me, but alas, i digress....

anyways, I do like the REAL brake kit, how much did it run you? and do you notice a dramatic increase in braking performance?
