i got just over 30mpg average around town and on the highway. pretty good i think. not even broken in yet! its rated at 36city/31highway

35 after tax & license and all that stuffs.. had 11miles on the clock, some of them from just moving the car around the gigantic galpin lots off the 405

options:

Appearance package (silver bumpers and side trim)
Navigation (upgraded sound with 7 CDs, economy charts, etc)
Leather
Safety package (upgraded airbag systems)

3/36k warranty + 10 year for electric/battery system

i believe they are working on the HOV lane thing, where low emission cars/trucks are allowed with just one person. thats how it is in some other states.

nice new toy joe

i think the incentive for the single person in the carpool lane is only currently with the toyota prius, no?

man that is cool.

So if you have a low/no emissions vehicle, and no cat on your evo, do you think they will call it even?

from what i've heard about the hybrids in carpool is that the vehicle
has to meet a 45mpg standard and if not no carpool, so i think only
the prius and the honda hybrid meet those requirements....
i remember reading ford making a fuss over that number cause
there exploer couldnt meet it
anyways congrats on the purchase 8)

correct... it goes "golf cart" mode (100% electric) all the way up to 30mph if you controll the throttle properly. its pretty cool...real sneaky

I've heard of this. The engine isn't on or anything, right? I've heard its poretty nerve-racking the first time you stop at a stoplight and notice the engine isn't on... it'd be cool...
