"big up" to tom and mike at hb mitsu. so far, they gave me the best deal on my trade in and on the evo! i finally have one. thanks tom!!! yesterday i took home a 2005 white evo 8 with 14ish miles on it. about the specifics on the price, it was different because of the upside down trade in so im not gonna lie about the OTD amount. all i know is ive been to three other mitsu dealerships and everyone was right - GO TO TOM @ HB MITSU!!! :D

well a "welcome" seems wrong since you've been here a little while, but i guess this'll do

"Welcome to actually owning an Evo, instead of having wet dreams of owning one."

well said ovenmit331, thanks! i cant wait till i start drivin it above 3000rpms. compared to my old civic, its like going from payless shoes to some comfy jordans!!! hahaha, but cant compare to my truck tho, it was loud and smooth. i guess i kinda miss it, but when i see my evo its like "chevy who?"

you can make your evo louder than your truck  oh and congrats by the way, i love that first drive home from the dealer, i will always remember it

yup, mine was in a rainy afternoon stuck in traffic on the 55 fwy smiling the whole friggin time. the whole time i was avoiding potholes on the street. its kinda odd changing my driving habits. i was careful with my truck, but i have to be even more cautious with my baby (evo).

first mod:

SoCalEvo.net sticker!!! i heard it adds about 25 ponies :P

i hope this mod is dealer friendly 8)

It's too late for you now itsnino! Once you've had a taste of the Evo, you are ruined for any other car.

I thought and laughed about that the other day while driving the GT3. It just wasn't as comfortable. It was weird driving a $110K car and comparing it to my $30K car and wishing the seats were nicer, and the shifter felt better, and the pedals weren't so far over to the right.....

hahahaOnly if you get stuck driving sumthin else like.... the wife's car or worse yet... the van pool van! Actually I'm glad that my employer supplies me with a van to make the 100 mile daily commute. Especially with gas prices shooting up the way that they are.

so u only get about 15mpg too?

lemme see if i calculated it right. the evo has a 14gallon tank right. 200 div by 14 would be around 14.3 mpg?

if thats right, y so low?

200 to the tank damn i thought my mpg was low. Quit stoplight racing. You dont need to hear that pshhh sound all the time.

I get like 240-260 to the tank. But ive heard up to 280-290. ive personally gotten 280 to the tank going about 90 on the 5 going to san francisco.

hey thanks again everyone. but yeah, ive only been to one meet but i dont think it counts since its not purely evos and that was on springbreak. i wish i can make it this quarter, but the teachers that i want and my work keeps my schedule all funked up. the only time i can prolly make it to is on a thursday. lemme check if theres one. but even then i dont get out till 10pm.
