View Full Version : Kent Jordan Rides Again!

Kent Jordan made the debut of his new Muellerized/RRE EVO at Buttonwillow Raceway Park this past weekend, taking his first SCCA win. This car was made entirely at the Muellerized/Road Race Chassis shop, where all of the mechanical, suspension, MR roof install, chassis and safety equipment fabrication and paint work took place. This entire project was completed in 28 days from starting the project until its first test session at Buttonwillow, where the car ran in the 1 minute 55s right off of the trailer with no adjustments. After some minor tuning, Kent took his first win running a best lap of 1:54.51 leading from flag to flag and the car ran trouble free every lap of every session. Thanks to my hard working staff and the continued support of Mike Welch of RRE, our racing program is back on track for 2005, next stop Laguna Seca April 2nd and 3rd for the San Francisco Region SCCA season opener.

Congratulations to Kent, John, and the Road Race Chassis crew!!! I was at Buttonwillow the week before when they took the car out to test it for the first time and Kent ran a 1:55.

Glad the Muellerized/RRE team is up and running again and that Kent has shaken off his mishap and is driving like a wildman (under control of course) again.

And thanks for fixing my rear brakes at the track. :D

It is soooo good to be back at it!

The new car runs as great as the one it replaced. Mueller, you and your boys, and of course Sheila, are beyond amazing. What a crew, Justin, Nam, Josh and Chris worked their collective asses off to get us back to the track on a timeline that was "just nearly" unbelievable. Mike W. thanks for the help(Mueller's VERY proud of the new aluminum roof you installed!) and Matt thanks for your trackside support with the datalogger!

We are going to have a f>cking blast this season. I can't wait to see what this car is going to be capable of with the changes you have in mind Mr. Mueller. Throttle modulation is now a new "skill set" I'll have to learn!!

To all our friends on socalevo, thanks for your patience getting your shit done at Road Race Chassis the last month. I'll try to keep this car in one piece for the balance of the season.

So what happened on Sat? www.MyLaps.com shows Kent finished in 2nd place even though he had the fastest lap. On Sunday he won.

Blak94GSX
03-25-2005, 06:04 PM
After lapping the whole field and finishing 1st, he was later penalized 1 spot for allegedly passing under a yellow flag.

On Sunday he did the same thing again, but wasn't penalized.

Great job! KENT keep up the real racing door2door side of the EVO world!!
BTW did you paint the headlight covers from Tallini?? (and waste all that carbon sweetness?)

wilson1
03-25-2005, 11:41 PM
Congrats!

The head light hole covers, are not Tallini pieces...

JW

Muellerized...
03-26-2005, 06:17 PM
BTW did you paint the headlight covers from Tallini?

Those are our own complete headlight replacements for the EVO. No need to race with heavy expensive HID headlights that can easily get damaged or scratched.

Parts for sale soon:-) The pair on Kent's car are the first pair out of the mold. Need to stay focused on being ready for the next race at Laguna Seca next weekend, 18 cars entered in our class so far, 48 in the race group.
