sorry for the stupid question but i was really curious to what is the most whp someone is running on here with the stock turbo...? and what is the max amount of whp the stock turbo can push?

I think somewhere around 400-420. Depends on the dyno and other variables though.

Ive heard 430 with ems and c16 but it was more of a spike and settling to a much lower boost level. But really, it wasnt a realistic number.

Anywhere around 400WHP on 91 is pushing it. You're definately maxed at that point.

Not certain if the 05s do any better.

I think if you're going make a push for 400, you'd do it easier with an upgrade.

On a properly set up Dynojet, ABOUT 400whp/400tq on race gas. That is about 350whp/350tq on a dynodyamics. With nitrous oxide injection, much more power is attainable on the stock turbo.

There have been a few evos over 400whp on the stock turbo, but not on the west coast. The highest number that is easily attainable with proper tuning and mods is more like 375whp/355tq. The HKS 280 cams seem promising though.

thanks for all the replies guys, im planning on getting an evo after school, i drive a wrx right now and i really want to build my evo for a 10 sec street car! but this point about evo stock turbo max horsepower was brought up on a wrx forum, so i was just curious!
