will someone post the winning price here after the auction ends, as i will be out and about at the 909/cal poly meet?

There is already a thread about the Sparco Evo on e-Bay.

Winning bid: US $54,900.00 (Reserve met)

Of course, that's all assuming that the winning bidder isn't just f'ing around.

Looks to me like the bidder was serious. He (or she) went in just before the auction closed and put in another bid. Must be the other bidders were getting to close to their max. Take a look at the "bids" and you'll see the winner put in one bid that kept getting bid against but never got beat with a higher bid. But they must have been getting worried toward the end and put in a higher bid to ensure they weren't outbid at the last minute. The winner also has a 100% rating on e-Bay so it's not likely they'll flake. It looks like the Sparco Evo has a new home. If someone on the board won it, please let us know. And no, I won't believe Bevo or Goku if they say they won it...

Yeah, someone got a steal, especially considering the sponsorship potential.

Wow that actually sold A LOT cheaper than i thought it would sell for. Even though I'd never be able to afford it, $54K is an incredible deal for all the work and print exposure that beast has gotten.

New owner: please dont add blue neons to it.

I know I was thinking it would sell for closer to 65k+ plus the history with the car

that's insane $54,900

did someone here buy the car?

  It sold for A LOT less than I was hoping, but I thought with a low reserve it would generate a lot of interest and the bidding would get aggressive. Oh well, guess that plan backfired.

The new owner is getting an INSANE deal. There are many parts on that car that are one-off and it will never be duplicated.

Now, on to the next project..........

what a steal... what a steal... that guy is on evom.... but i guess it's only a steal because of the crazy cf seats and the crazy brakes... everything else can be obtained... did i miss anything?

i mean honestly... the things that are worth more than 2k on the car... are prolly the wheels with tires, seats, brakes, maybe the suspension but prolly not... the hood and trunk together, the entire longblock. but otherwise... that's all the big stuff.... iunno... with evos going for iunno

oh, and those one off parts, in other words the only ones like it in the world. then there is awayst that minor thing that the car was featured in many magazines and a video game, but now everybody is doing that with their cars

Its a great car and it sold for a great price but the video game and magazine thing would only be worth something to me If I was the one that built it. Owning someone elses accomplishments is not as glorious as if you had done it yourself.

the one off parts are like the holds for the fc commander and the cage and i already mentioned the seats (only ones on a car that's not an enzo) and the brakes are obtainable elsewhere... just for a steep ass price which i already conceded. so waht other one off parts are so glorious? i admit i like the radiator hose gaurd... but c'mon... that's not worth over 2gs... i mentioned everything that's worth big bucks and worth big mention on the car i believes... oh... and the tune... sorry... didn't mention the tune... although it's had trouble (all cars do) the car runs well.

i think the car is worth most in one piece... if you tried to slang off the parst piece by piece you wouldn't get that many interested buyers... the car as a whole is great now so i figure this person that bought it should just use it and compete. seldom do race cars become icons so majestic that they get stuck in a museum or locked away in some obscure garage... that just takes all the goodness out of it anyway.
