I want to start attending some shows and getting some sponsorships. :)
It'd be nice if I could shadow some people @ events and learn the ropes.

Billy offered, but he said it would actually INVOLVE ropes, and I didn't want to end up like a japanese fetish porn star.

You should get cool with some show crews. I used to be a pledge for a very reputable show team and they got me hooked up with some volks for my old 240. I had the first set of these certain volk wheels in Northern California some yrs back.

A lot of the reputable show teams just have a step in the door already. They have built strong relationships with alot of the industry heads and its very obvious at say Sema or IAS.

By the way, if you want to present yourself for sponsorships, do it at IAS. And make sure you stand out in a good way. And that your sponsorship proposal is very creative informative and really make an effort to show the prospective company that you really mean to represent their company to the fullest. Most of the time if you are super stock they wont even look. For the first sponsored vehicle you gotta put a lot of money and effort into it yourself.
