hey why does it rub? i'm lookin' to get one of these and i wanna know where it rubs and why...

it rubs because i guess that's the way helix made them?... it rubs up against the sub frame... and in the pictures i posted... that'lll cause it to rattle and make ur car feel all wierd when the air conditioner is on...

this fix works so far... still waiting for everything to settle in... smells like buring fiberglass or something for now... haha.. like a new exhaust... lol

I hear if you get the exhaust wrap wet in the rain, you will smell it again...

No problem. I hope i don't see a pic of you ,after a recent rainstorm, underneath your car sniffing your exhaust wrapped downpipe :P

myevostore.com carries it, it's just not on our website. Thanks for reminding me!

would you say 15 feet is enough? or how much did you use?

Q: How much wrap is required to do a set of headers?
A: Guidelines recommend: (1) 2 inch x 50 ft.roll for a 4 cyl., (2) 2 inch x 50 ft. rolls for a V6 or V8, and (3) 2 inch x 50 ft. rolls for a big block or 180 degree set of headers.

i basically used 1 full roll... the helix downpipe is pretty fatty... and has a few kinks in it... the more kinks.. the more wrap is used

have the same problem with mine. i heat-wrapped it a while back, but after 3-4 months it started to rattle again. not so much as it did initially, but still rattles nonetheless. i didnt wrap the whole DP though, only the part where it hits the sub-frame. when i get the chance, ill wrap the whole thing. btw is heat-wrap is the same as thermal wrap? please correct me if im wrong.
