DEFI BF EGT sensor placement: which runner?

did a search but found a few threads that didn't give a definite answer.

i have a defi BF amber gauge and don't know which runner to drill.

any leads? i hear runner 1 or 2?

what's your input guys?

oh, and if any of you guys did this, can you post pix of where your sensor is?

From my information gathering, either runner 1 or 2. I chose twho because it was convenient since I did not have to drill through my ARC heatshield.

RRE just installed mine and they said absolutly the 1 st runner since it runs hotter than the others...i too have the ARC heat shield and had to have them drill into it. Just an FYI too the stock heat shield is supposed to be alot better at actually keeping the heat out, it looks like ass but performs well...go figure

one more favor AD_LIB - can you post a pic of where your sensor is on the exhaust manifold and can you show a pic with the ARC heat shield on?

no problems with the probe sticking to close to the bottom of the exhaust mani?

that pic shows it in runner #2 put the probe in #1

i decided either runner #1 or runner #2, so i chose #2 so i wouldn't have to cut the arc titanium heat shield.
