hopefully this isn't a repost...

heres some more pics of the new tweel from michelin. looks pretty cool, but the brake rotos don't look like they could be very big with all those flexible metal spokes...

i dunno if i like that idea under heavy cornering like in the last picture. increased contact area = increased drag = less speed. less speed on the outside of the corner might be bad, since to turn, the outside has to move faster than the inside. but no flat/slashed tires

Cool innovation, but looks very weird.

WTF?!!?! cant ever imagine this as our new wheel/tire of the future

and about tire slashing, i think someone could totally screw you over by using a lock cutter on your "spokes" ....lol.

Don't let the "yo yo yo" guys see that or they'll become the new spinners...

uhm... yer kidding right? increased area is what you want in turn... they design tread so that when you're in turn it's deformed such that the tread patch is maximized particularly on the outter most tread block.

i bet they're just showcasing this thing with open spokes... the real ones prolly be covered

also don't see how this is better than normal tires.

from what I have seen on various TV shows that have showcased this. This will be the design they go for. They wont enclose the fins, as that would change the way they work.

Next time you run over a nail, tell me that

I'd defintely sport those once they get they integrate "spinners" in them. :D

the thing is... if you get a nail in your tire... there's run flats... and if you're wanting sporty tires which don't come in run flat... id on't think they come in twheel either...

I was just thinking, these would be great all season tires. In the winter, make them studded tires by Krzy gluing some nails or tacks on the tread and voila, you've got some rally tires for the snow and ice.

do you think they will come in 12"x10"??? Now that would be sick! It would be the next gen of Daytons
