New Alpine deck....Quick Q

I have installed a new Alpine deck in my Evo (has the SSL package and facotry sub). The deck powers on just fine/powers off correctly etc... but the 8pin connector that fits on the factory deck does not fit on the Alpine. Anyone know what I am missing?
