my personal experience with the azenis on a lowered evo is that it rubs and you might as well roll your fenders...right now i just went from a 245/40/18 tire to a 255/40/17 tire and it doesnt rub at all and i lowered my car on eibachs. the biggest tire size i've seen on an evo without needing to roll fenders is a 255/35/19...

Wouldnt that depend on the the drop and the size of the tire etc? Do they make those azenies in the stock size or perhaps a bit wider? 245/45/17? Would that still fit on the stocker? Reason I ask is I'm dropped on Espiler ASD's (.8inch of a dro - which isnt much) - and I'm in need of some whatevAr tires ...

Jeff plz hit me back with a price and what sizes you can get a hold of that would fit in the stock tire size too!

Right now the closest size The AZENIS is the 245/45/17, they dont make a 235/45/17.

They will have 235/40/17 later on, but it is not released yet!

I have 255/40/17. I haven't pushed the car yet, but from what it seems it will rub. I have a fender roller on its way so i can roll that bitch up!!

GinuwineEvo8: PM u for the price

there about 300 less than stockers, NOTE ive had the azenis in size 245/45/17 they are to big for the stock wheels and the sidewalls roll over easily if you want your car to feel like a boat buy them.

I have 2 suggestions, Avon M500's. or Cooper Zeon 2XS. These arent the "In" tire, so beware!

I own a set of Avon M500's, they're awesome in the rain, great Dry & Wet grip & have better tire wear & magnitudes quieter than the advans for about $500 a set. I have about 5K miles. Oh, you can do a traditional tire rotation if you care too as well. I have no regret's buying them.

A buddy of mine picked up a set of Cooper Zeon 2XS for about ~$500. He likes them better than the Toyo T1's. He says they're quieter, softer ride, handles just as good too. He always picked up nails with the toyo's for whatever reason. Hasnt picked up a nail yet with the Coopers, ~16k miles.

I've been pretty happy with the Kumho Ecsta MX I have in stock size. Slightly less stiff sidewall but turn in is nearly equivalent and overall grip level is comparable plus they're cheap ($136/tire at the Tirerack)

Only disadvantage is they give-way quickly and without much warning in the wet.

keep an eye out in the private classifieds here.... some people ditch the stock wheels and tires seconds after they get the car home and post them up for sale. i got a set that look nearly brand new for $750 with flawless wheels. if you net what i can sell my original stock wheels for, i will have come up on nearly brand new wheels and tires for under $500.... not bad eh.
