I went thriugh a drive thru car wash this weekend because my car was dirtier than heel, anyways short story even shorter, the spinning brushes ripped my front liscense plate off and bent the crap out of my plate bracket and i was wondering if anyone had theirs that did not want it and would not mind giving or selling it to me!

The way the plate is held on really stinks. I grabbed my plate and twisted it and with very little effort the plate came right off. If I don't hand wash, I go to a place that has a machine that just passes over with high pressure water - none of those brush things.

same here, I go the carwash that only have high pressure water, not some crazy ass brushes.

crazy ass brushes take dirt off one car and whip it against another.
It's worse on the East coast as salt is thrown into the mix.

Don't get whipped!

Not only are the brushes a danger but you also run the risk of ruining your rims! Some car washes have rails (conveyers? I don't know since I have never been to one) that might night align properly with you wheels and when you try to get through, you might find a dent on the inside lip of your rim!

If you really need to take your car in for a wash take it to a hand wash.

that's a big no no. good thing it wasn't something major. that could cost you a lot of money to fix.

Me too. Or I'll go to a coin-op car wash thing. Sucks living in an apt where I can't wash the car on a driveway.
