maybe this needs to be gone over again.

this is an email i received after joining the ferrarichat forum. it applies equally to us at socalevo, buut i think most members have strayed from this (eventhough i think socal sends an email identical to this one)

Thanks for registering at FerrariChat.com! We are glad you have chosen
to be a part of our community and we hope you enjoy your stay.

FerrariChat.com is the #1 online Ferrari community in the world.
Although a high percentage of our users are owners, being a Ferrari
enthusiast is the only user qualification. We're a very diverse community of
people from around the world that drive, own, collect, restore,
maintain, race, and write about the wonderful Ferrari marquee. Please read the
following to make your FerrariChat.com a more enjoyable one...

1) An online community is a beautiful thing as it allows very
efficient communication and then archives all information for future reference.
However, being a one dimensional form of communication, it's easy to be
impersonal and also miscommunicate. Please be aware of this. Try to
respect the other users as you would talking with them in person. We
actually do meet each other in person quite often as there have been over
100 FerrariChat.com gatherings around the world.

2) The archives of FerrariChat.com are very extensive with more than
300,000 individual messages posted. Sometimes it's best to search the
archives before asking a question to see if it's already been answered.

3) When posting new threads, please try to use descriptive titles. If
model specific, please indicate the model in the thread. For example,
a good title would be "How to change fuel filter on 308?", not "Help Me
Now!".

Thanks again,
FerrariChat.com Team

some figures may not be accurate when applied to our site, but you can get a general idea of what is going on.

Emphasis on #3.

I would think the sarcastic replies might die down a bit as well.

"What to you think of....?"

"HELP!!"

"WTB"

Still....it's hard to regulate that.
N00bs will be n00bs.

You will always get noobs asking such questions or not being specific enough to there needs. Some of those things are common sense, just because it's the net and not in person doesn't mean you should be disrespectful (common sense) with other members.
We also have a huge problem with peeps placing topics in the wrong sections, yet Dino has created a thread about it.
