this was my first time at the strip with my evo, the lowest i could get it to run was a 13.875 with a .097 reaction time. i was launching around 4k and shifting around 6500. any suggestions or does that time sound about right for stock, all i have is a hks filter.

shift at higher rpms(closer to 7), invest in a boost controller, boost gauge, and something to hold your boost well(mr diverter). should improve your times significantly. when you're farther along the mod path, dont bother with the strip...hit up a real track!

whats ur 60' ft. times? decreasing tire pressure will help with ur launches a bit. :)

what was your trap speed? Keep in mind, this weather SUCKS.. I wouldn't be surprised if you lose anywhere from 0.5 to a full second, and a good 2-3mph in this heat

trap was 99 mph

You don't tell us where the run was made. A 13.8 at LACR would be pretty darn good for a stock car.

i ran a 14.00 consistent at crappy LACR when stock juss kn drop-in. raced a sti and he did 13.8 looking stock too.
i beat him by .2sec on the 60ft. and all the other checkpoints until the last one for the 1/4 time. amazed me it did well against the stupid subie, not a win but a personal victory ;) 1.8sec 60fts every run. and doing low .5-.6's (best 0.513) reaction times. i heard some ppl have done 1.6sec 60fts with the stock clutch, but i bet they dropped it or worse

when you get the chance, you should take the CF monster to the drag strip to see what 1/4 mile times you can accomplish..

ran my car with full 3tbe and drop in. got a 13.7 my fastest.
at the same time i ran my bros evo and i got a 13.4 with just mbc.

i knew it wasnt my driving, got a 1.7 60ft on both. my car had really bad tappering, while running my brother's car boost was holding better.

i was lucky enough to run 2 different evos with 2 different mods right after another.
