hmmmm, some of the topics need to be revised before this will get any attention. im not trying to shoot this petition down, its a great idea but some of the wording doesent sound right. take these lines for instance,

Instead of wasting valuable resources harassing us, the people would be better served if law enforcement dedicated those
same resources towards preventing REAL crimes.

1. That legislators of the State of California modify the vehicle code to be more friendly towards automotive hobbyists.

on that note i think these lines are on the right path,

The majority of these victims are chosen by the type of vehicle they drive and
their demographic.

Our demographic has a huge pool of disposable income, and the automotive aftermarket industry provides millions of dollars of tax revenue
to the state of California

2. Train law enforcement officers NOT to profile potential victims by their age, gender, or type of vehicle they drive. The appearance of a vehicle, however
garish it may be, if not in violation of vehicle code it DOES NOT CONSTITUTE probable cause for vehicle inspection

3. A peace officer is not qualified to assess emissions related violations. The state should place the burden on smog stations where the technicians are trained
to inspect emissions related equipment - not on peace officers that are trained to protect and serve.

now we need to look at this from a realist stand point. the local media has painted all of us as a bunch of reckless idoits that go out and kill inocent wemon, children, old ladies, war heroes, ext... with this stigma atatched to us public support is going to be slim at best. if we want to win this we need to find away to show how these law enforcment officers are infringing on our rights as citizens and apply that to everyone. now looking back the gun lobby did a fantasic job of this, the media tryed to paint gun owners as a bunch of strung out crack heads or gun toating white supremists but they wher able to over come it (exept in california where the constatotion doesent seem to apply). im realy exited and think we can do it but we are realy going to have to get orginized, that means everyone. domestics and imports alike, it makes no differance. we are all targets of the government mainly because they want our money.

Spell check is your friend!

Aside from that I feel that there is definitely progress being made here. O0
