man, that sucks. i got a ticket for street racing right at the onramp to the 101s in oxnard. the ticket was 500, and the insurance sky rocketed. i pay 6 monthes at a time and when it was time to renew it went from like 1500 to 10,000 bucks for 6 monthes. i just went to progressive and got 772 for 6 monthes. damn.

772 for 6 months is not to bad, try playing near 250.00 a month :P

They are getting tough on street racing over here. The cop probably suspended his license on the spot, that's why he didn't understand it. I have heard of guys having to pay $2500.00 to $3000.00 in fines and losing their license for 6 months.

man these stories scare the hell out of me :( . the evo is such a fun little car and sometimes its hard not to hit the gas late at night in one of those corners thats just calling your name. i think its time to buy a second car.

the DC area is noturious for tickets...I got caught up in one of a commuter lane sting when I came out of Ronald Reagan going up to DC. I think its Highway (been a while so I am not sure), but basicly you exit the airport to the 1 directly into a commuter lane. Its only a commuter lane during certain hours & during those hours it is IMPOSSIBLE to get over. The traffic is AtoB is all lanes. So the cops wait for dumb people in rentals to come down a few blocks and then wave you over into a parking lot and give you a ticket. Gotta love it...

I'm paying $287 pewr month for 2 cars full coverage. That's pretty steep considering you're 60; is the other car a 996?

dont ya love that sh1t chris? im kinda in the same boat too. seems like insurance companies only see in black&white. if there wasnt another car invovled that was at fault, its all on you. they dont seem to understand there are things out of our control.

im paying 1100 every 6months. with 'at-fault' accident and a boating violation. :P

It wasn't the insurance company's fault. You gotta love when the police won't respond to a hit and run because they think you're lying...

but you are seemingly a girl. they always pay less............

also where will the insurance company be when you total your car? by your side or long gone.......sometimes theres a reason why they charge so little

and sure they tell you full coverage, just like mitsu told all of us that we have a 10yr/100k mile warranty ;)

The insurance company will be there. I'm sure my insurance is lower because I'm a girl, but mostly because my husband is 60 and a school teacher.

That’s why I have always hated cops, not because I got tickets but because they never listen to you, have a superior attitude and hassle you do to the car you drive or the way you look.

Got total of 4 tickets this year 3 of those over 100-160 MPH The only good thing all cops right me for under 100 MPH Letting me go, still I am hoping the cops will not show up for the trial.

Also I have AAA Insuranse and I only paid $1200 a year with my bad record.
