Hmm im not hitting 19 psi in first gear anyone know why?? i got a turboback and intake besides the boost gauge. i can hit 19 in every other gear but for some reason 19 sees only like 13-14, i saw 19 like once or twice when i went for a drive just now but majority of time its 14???

1st gear will probably "spike" to 19 psi but taper to something lower...usually should be higher than 13-14 psi though.

I think an MBC or EBC will help but even then, it will taper a little in first gear and second depending on load.

IMO you dont need 19psi in 1st becasuse the gear is so short when really getting on it. if you have the extra 5psi in first how much faster do you think you would really go.

i assume you have the 9.8 housing rather than the '05 10.5? because with the 10.5 and an otherwise stock evo i'll boost 1.5 in 4th and 5th with taper to 1.3 in 4th (havent topped 5th yet, kinda scared)

The car will not boost to peak in 1st and sometimes even in second. The engine is not seeing enough load in that gear to keep the gate closed. Thats typicall why you see higher than normal boost at low to mid rpm in 5th gear. that is max load. No worries its normal behavior, one more reason to shift faster into 2nd etc......... O0

Yeah your 1st/2nd wont ever hit and hold what your going to be boosting ... I just hope that when you get a ebc/mbc that you do all your adjustments in 3rd gear .. or else kaboom or fuel cut :-o
