What are the restrictions for getting in here?* must have 1,000 posts? why dont we push that higher so that we dont have to deal with all the people who have been here barely a year and now think they are OG and should run the board.* Look the all the people in the OG thread (I am not OG and would never claim to be) half of them in that thread joined after me.


Also Could we do joined date to to let guys like Senshi in? maybe 1500 or 1750 posts or joined by Jan 1 2004?*

That way we could have piece and quiet, not deal with ethugs and not deal with the people who yell at them as well. (Chris excluded threats deserve discussion)

You guys can do what you choose with this forum. I'd like to make this point. So yah im way over a 1000 posts since bought my evo only 6 months ago. Although i have been following this site since 2003 when i had a tough time making a decision betwen the Evo and the STi. Unfortunately for me i chose the suby first time around, i continued to build it as well as follow these forums, however not posting, for what reason, i didn't own an evo. Anyhow that is the past, my suby days are behind me. I fell i came onto this scene pretty strong, GENREC is a household name ( :grin: ) now and the OC crew , 909 crew , etc...all know im down to earth.

With that said, i'd like to say that it seems like ONLY 6 months ago when i joined it was totally different around here. There seemed to be alot more knowlegable people, nicer people, and i felt i was at home in an instant. And learned alot quick!

But it seems to me in the past few months there has been many new members here, who are absoultely horrible!! Thugs, punks, tards, asking the same shit over and over, not reading, thugging online.
It is just a differnt atmospher as of late, and i think you would all agree.

Somebody tell me if you think i am to far off here?? Does nobody else see or feel this?

Also remember that as SocalEvo.net grows, you will get weird characters and people that don't appreciate what socal really is. That will always happen with any board that receives a good amount of members. As we grow into a larger community, we need to filter what it's useful and we can dispose of...

i've been a member of this forum for a little while and granted i postwhore quite a bit. personally, i think this should be available to those who dont waste other's time. i totally agree with previous posts leaving these kind of decisions to mods and admin. they work hard in maintaining the site and naturally, should be make these decisions. postcount and the date when someone joined shouldnt have anything to do with it. some people have been members for years and have never posted and/or for 2-3 months and have 1000 posts already. some people may think it may be unfair and whatnot, but ultimately they make the site what it is so whatever they decide i will stand behind even if that means people like me wont be included.

i concur... many miss the old socalevo. but let's try to make it strong again... we need more gurus and more people that shut down the crap, report stuff to mods quicker... get threads cleaned up, set precedence and then try to get this place back to the days it used to be.

I did Streets on a Friday, worked on the Rim of the World Rally the following Thursday & Friday, then big Willow yeterday. I'm still tired after as this does take a lot of stamina. Angela is just plan nutz :uglystupid2:

oh never been there...I think 10...well 10 that I can remember...Im addicted..it's my fault my car is dead...I ran it to the ground at the last event...(tires/ brakes) I think on one session I clocked like 30 laps.... :buck2:

that week I was there on a Wed at a private event with the Porsche club...I did 2 back to back 30 min sessions....needless to say the only thing that stopped me was my tire was corded :buck2:

the brakes are gonna get started on today..don't know if I need a new rotor on the front right..and I'm getting some tires this week or the weekend..Motor wise I have no complaints...needs an oil change now after all that abuse and it's good to go!

on a lighter note..33K stock clutch? I have 35K stock clutch 10? track days..still stiff and grabs nice....waiting to save up some $$$ to do the quaife and clutch at the same time... why did u change your clutch? was it slipping? or just a preference to change?

yeah 33k on stock clutch, about 10 track days (driving pretty hard), and the power that im putting out. yeah, its surprising to me when i see all these ppl are replacing their clutch at 5-10k, thats ridiculous! how are these ppl driving their cars?? i will never understand that. and yes, it slipped ONCE. i was on the freeway cruising in 5th gear at about 80 and i wanted to accelerate just a little to pass someone and my rpms shot up and came back down. at that point my car was waving a red flag and i didnt want to wait any longer, so i called sam up and got it installed yesterday.

i havent upgrade my turbo and that was with the Stock 05 turbo as well. Why would i think thats low.. it really doesnt matter when you are at SoW except on the straights..
Like i said, i though it was you at that Red line event... but i guess i was mistaken..
I choose a certain pad on mods and thats my way of doing things.. we all have are ways..
I could of easy bought a 3076R but at the moment im sticking with my stock turbo. i recently took off my WR set up which made 340whp.. on pump gas. Since i have decided to change a couple of things.
Just for you to get things clear , its a stage 1+ stock block and stock head. All i have is upgrade valvetrain since im changing cams soon amoung other things..

Thats the reason why i got rid off the WR , because it didnt make the power i expected.. Simple as that! I never claim anything, all i do is try to post some information or try to help others. never did i claim anything or proclaim myself to have the most hp on the stock turbo. My goals are to achieve 360whp on pump gas.. So far i hardly have seen anyone with those #s. the best i have seen is near 345whp with a very agressive tune.
Most people achieve between 330-340whp on the stock turbo on pump gas
some have reach more but with more mods (like headwork) i decided to sell the BJs head because i wasnt to happy with it after comparing it against the cosworth head.
I also need to upgrade away from the SAFC hopefully the car can make more power, i hope...
