I already gave you advice. So are you going to take it or just pay the ticket? ;)

Probable chain of events:

1. Goto court and fight the ticket.
2. Lose.
3. End up paying the 774.

Sad but true.

i would go to court and ask for a lessor fine for the reason of finanical hardship. that is way excessive unless you have multiple priors for the same thing.

1. Send a written request for a Trial by Declaration.

2. Fill out the form and send in the bail amount.

3. Pray

4. If you win, you owe me lunch

5. If you lose, request a New Trial

6. Get an attorney

7. Go to trial and have the lawyer grill the cop

8. Hopefully you will win

9. If not, request a fine reduction and traffic school.

Good Luck!

I was just in traffic school 2 weeks ago.......you have to go around the class tell your name, and what you did , and how much your fine was, people did over a 100 and the most i heard somebody pay was like $280 for a speeding ticket. The teacher did say due to the different amounts rattled off, that it all depends on where it was, what time of day, what kind of weather, and heavy the traffic was, lots of variables i guess...

27mph over the limit.

isnt there a max over the limit and a judge will not allow traffic school?

yeah... I think over 85-90 but i'm not sure. I know that you are not eligible for a "Trial By Declaration" though... and no traffic school over 90mph either. but let us know what happen next...

ps: you should receive a courtesy notice from the county, in that letter it should tell you if you are eligible for a traffic school or if it's a mandatory apperance.

Pay that fucker before you get sent to collections.. Example... Before I traded my Toyota Matrix for the EVO I got a fix it ticket for no plates.. Easy fix of course which I did NOT take care of.. Long story short.. A $20.00 dollar ticket turned into a $374.00 ticket... Take it in the nuts & get a payment plan with the court...

it all depends on the judge..my dad got a ticket for going 90 in a 35 and went to court and the judge let him take traffic school online because he got the ticket in chico and he lives in brea. so hopefully you get a good judge

Damn, that sucks! I know exactly how it feels...Get this I just finished paying off $2400 worth of violations ranging from speeding tickets to fix it tickets and speed contest...You need to pay the ticket off asap before you get hit with a $356 civil judgment fee and a non correctable fine which is usually about *$250 on top of your $774 and the $356...Well I have had luck before with getting extensions on my ticket up to three times and when court date finally comes by then months have gone bye and hopefully the cop has written more tickets and forgot about yours..besides they schedule court dates on their days off...Good Luck! :police:

what was the speed limit and where was this located? i was caught speeding on the 210w for 90/65 and was fined $198. for as much as you're getting fined for you might as well give that money or less to a reputable attorney. you have a good chance of getting out of the ticket or a high chance of lowering the fines/charges with the lawyer route. good luck.

that's weird, i was allowed traffic school... i think it's different for each county, or maybe because it was my first offense :?

Yeah, if you are over 15mph above the speed limit it is now considered: "Reckless Driving" and cannot be made up in traffic school.

man i think your SOL on the traffic school. *My sis-in-law got a ticket in orange county (I just can't bring myself to say "the OC") for 91 in a 65 and she could not take traffic school. *He showed her the laser printout even when she requested it. *Request a lower fine is your only hope. *But you'll end up paying it in the long run *when your insurace comes up for renewal....... :police:
