I am in need of a temporary map for my safc II. my turbo kit is still in the build up phase and i have installed my 780cc injectors already. Now the current map is not sufficent and the car is fuel cutting. I read in one post that a common -36% across the hi's and low's is good for 780's. However i dont know how much to stagger the Ne-points up to the -36%. Any help or map readouts would be great.
My current pwr mods are as follows:
Full turbo backexhaust&dp/o2housing
intake
boostcontroller @ 21psi
xs fmic
safcII
HKS 272cams set at -1.5,-4
780cc injectors
255walbro

Ill do my best to try and get you some temp settings but realize that you really shouldnt be making any changes to your cars af ratio without knowing whats really going on. I highly doubt you are hitting fuel cut .....most likely your soo rich the car just dies......feels the same as fuel cut though. Can I ask why you chose 780cc injectors.....(unless you got a gt35r..but then even 780 would come u short so Im guessinga gt30 or 5o trim kit)??? It may be slightly difficult to tune because of how much fuel will be needed to be taken out...... Make sure you get that thing tuned when the kit is done. Good luck

-36 fuel across the highs?

please don't do that.

Kaboom city.

I don't even take that much out up top with 720's. I am -17 at 5200, -19 at 5800, -20 at 6000 -23 at 6800 , -26 at 7k-7500k , with a 11.0-11.3 AFR:

i adjusted the hi settings across from 5200 up and staggered them up to -26% it works alright but still running a little to rich. thanks for the help so far it is doing some good, again thanks its only a temp set up and i just need a little more time to hold out for a tune O0

I hope you have a way to monitor your AFR, or at least timing curve.

Did you put the injectors in already?
Do you have a logger?
The -36% is just where to start your adjustments, not to run at.

yeah i put them in already, and no logger at all. this map is getting very temporary because hopefully by the end of next week i can start the turbo kit install then i gotta head up to tuning tech. i sent them a pm but got no response i guess i have to call

Don't even bother with that level of guess work. Remove the AFC and swap the stock injectors back in until you have access to a logger. It would be easier and safer.

Well! With the 780 injectors and the bigger turbo it'll likely stall or not idle well, you'll need to pull some fuel out until it's idle and running ok. But don't boost it (i.e. wot) until you're tuned. So hold back the temptation til you visited Tuning Technologies. That was what I did when I just got my GT35r on my car.

If you spend that much money on the upgrades, please go a little further to get some a/f and other monitor things for the sake of the car life.

that seems like the route i will be going. I want to get the install done myself to save some money and i will gladly limp up to tuning tech and await a tune. if a rough idle is all than i can deal with that and low throttle settings. soon i will be boosting
