Redline will be back at the streets of willow on December 16.
We'll be running the full track counter clock wise this time.

We're offering a drivers school at this event. This track is perfect for beginners and we'll get you up to speed safety.

No Kidding! What a mess that turned out to be.
I'm just glad we made it through that day. I can safely say that was the most difficult track day I've ever had to manage. What a NIGHTMARE.

is not like i'm installing my new toys... i haven't had time to install the cams, injectors, cam gears , etc....
last time i did an event CC wise with stock pads and stock brake lines, it wasnt too much fun :cry: i know better this time...

I also learned (a bit late) that I can waive y'all past other places than just the main straight. However being this close to Christmas, I'll have to wait until next time. Besides, maybe I can get a ride along and pick up some tips. Last time was fun, but I was expecting to get some kind of training from one of the instructors. I was pretty much on my own, first time out. No wrecks (got lucky there), no broken parts and respectable time (not the slowest). Not too bad for a old, fat bald guy. :grin:

This should be covered in the morning at the driver's meeting. If not, just ask Chris, Nick or Jeremy from Redline. Or you could do like one driver did the last time I was at SOW. Stay all the way to the left of the back straight, and then point me by TO THE LEFT!!! :-o

Since I am a newbie at the track.....is there something about Goku's driving I should know about? He told me about the Dukes of Hazzard thing...John at RRE called him the Mexican Luke Duke :2funny: Where You there? Why didn't you take me out in your car? Goku did help me so I thank him for that. Next time maybe you can give me some pointers.

too bad that i didn't get to push the car the way i wanted too, damn brakes!
I could of been at least 1-2 seconds faster it the brakes would respond the way they should....

Good to see so many SoCalEvo peeps out there.* I had a great time at the event until about 3:30, when I started overheating.* Need to diagnose the problem, since I have a PWR radiator and all new cooling system hoses.

I am trying to decide between these 5 pics as a sort of "big avatar" or signature pic.* For some reason, the SoCalEvo system is cuting off the right hand edge of each pic. Pics 1 and 3 actually show the whole word "STREETS", and pics 2 and 4 show the whole car, not cut off at the back. Please let me know which one you like best.

it was a great track event....after the first 2 sessions that were just to cold to do anything. Before anybody else haze me about it, yes i did spin out on my first turn of the day i was trying to heat up the RA-1s and it didnt really work the way i wanted it too :buck2: . Other then that i had a great time and can def say the EVOs were the fastest cars at this event. I would have loved to run with goku but it never happened :-\ . MissEVO8 i would have offered to take you out but my parents had come to watch me and i wanted to give them rides, maybe next time. I have tones of pics of the event, ill try to post them up in abit.

I told Goku that I'd hook all SoCal Evo members up with a discount on the next track day at Buttonwillow on Jan 14 & 15. We'll also have the AMB timing system at Button so no crappy HotLaps anymore. I'll get Goku the discount info so he can deal with anyone who wants to make it out there again. Is that OK with you Goku?

Only car that passed me all day. Very nicely setup/driven car. One of the more fun track days I've done in a long time. Hope to see you all at the next one.
