Anybody done a TBD for front window tint before? I really don't want to take off my tint.. Suggestions are welcome.

You could opt to just pay the ticket if it it's cheaper then getting new tint....

Someone recently entered the exact civil code for tint in this forum. If you do a TBD, I suggest you source a lot of your information from that.

Good luck and remember: TBDs work a good % of the time, just because the cop is too lazy to respond.

What would you say in your TBD? You did not have tint on the car at that time? On the citation, it is marked as a correctable offense?

I was thinking of getting a note from a doctor regarding my "skin condition":

(10) Sun screening devices meeting the requirements of Section
26708.2 installed on the side windows on either side of the vehicle's
front seat, if the driver or a passenger in the front seat has in
his or her possession a letter or other document signed by a licensed
physician and surgeon certifying that the person must be shaded from
the sun due to a medical condition, or has in his or her possession
a letter or other document signed by a licensed optometrist
certifying that the person must be shaded from the sun due to a
visual condition. The devices authorized by this paragraph shall not
be used during darkness.

two things:

1. Sun screening devices meeting the requirements of Section
26708.2

and the requirements would be?

2. The devices authorized by this paragraph shall not
be used during darkness.

and what would *you* do to the tint at night?

Or Maybe just avoid the tint, or put a light tint on the front and darker on the back.

Yeah, I am a little confused regarding that statement as well. Maybe I just won't drive at night. :D

A lady I knew had a letter from a psychiatrist (friend) that said she had a paranoia issue and couldn't handle people staring at her. She got a handicaped parking plate and limo tint on her car, she even had 35% on her windshield.

tint does not conform to that...your reading what you want it to say not what it says.

California State Law states that vehicles can not have any aftermarket tint on the driver or front passenger side windows. Anything behind the driver is fine.

Haha Hemet rocks, I work there everyday, Those hillbilly cops are to busy arresting tweakers and raiding meth labs in San Jacinto to worry about Limo tints
