I know this is all subjective but im lookin for honest bias free info. Ill keep this as short as possible and thanks in advance for your time/help. As a car enthusiast i respect and appreciate all cars, and im well aware about how any experienced driver in an inferior car can run circles around a non experienced driver in a ferrari. Im lookin to get a car that ill have fun with on the track...and there seems to be lots to choose from these days. So i wanna get a heads up as to how much i can get vs how much i spend with which ever car i go with vs. any issues each car is known for. I have a few buddies who have g35, 350z, m3, and vw r32s. I probably know most about the r32. I know how much they go for and i know about the few basic mods/how much they cost...suspension, rear sway bar, intake, chip, etc. Dont know as much detail about the evo or the sti. So can u guys give me a heads up, in as much detail as possible, the basic mods, the companies associated with each (obviosly the more reliable/better performing ones), rough cost per mod, and what kind of power is expected. Anything else u guys wanna throw in there feel free, eg things to stay away from, things i should look out for, things that are expected to happen..., but please do your best to keep it honest and clean. I know plenty of ppl who simply have too much pride to be honest and say "with what i know now i would have done this or that...", i think u guys get the picture. Heres an example of what i know about the r32 to give u guys an example of what im lookin for:

1. Car - 30k - 241hp, 236tq
2. Suspension - pss9 - $1200
3. Chip - giac, revo, apr, $600-800 (12-15 hp, 15-17tq)
4. Intake - eip, aem, ghl, - $200 (8-10hp, 8-10tq)
5. Exhaust - eip, apr, tt, supersprint...$600-800 (10-15hp, 12-17tq)
Power gains for roughly $1600 - roughly 260-70hp, 265-75tq (Remember this is just rough estimate)

Again...thanks for your time/help.

How old are u ppl?* I can see, as some of my friends didn’t believe me when I told them, some of you lack proper etiquette and get off on attempting to push others around just because you dont know any better.* Every other forum i have approached was helpful right off the bat.* I just cant believe im sitting here typing this.* Although, im confident that discourteous behavior, like the former, is done so by the 16-18 year crowd who simply have not matured enough yet to show some basic respect and courtesy to their peers.* For those who do understand im sure realize how trivial it is to actually discuss this in a CAR ENTHUSIASTS FORUM as opposed to issues associated with…lets say, ummmm…cars?

the reason why they say this stuff is becasue we get this question alot and it gets old answering the question...so instead of getting pissed off TRY searching and remember key words are your friends

At no point was i pissed off. Im not fob to the forum world...but, any other forum ive posted questions on, regardless if its been addressed b4 or not, they at the least, are helpful...ie, they post whatever thread they know of that would put me/ne1 else in the helpful direction, or if they dont know of such a thread they reply with info from their own experience. What they dont do is whats been done here...this is childish. Its the kind of character one expects from teenagers, not adults.

we just told you to search for your questions. i dont see whats so childish about that. who really wants to take the time to answer all your questions, especially from someone who just signs up to prove a point to his friends about the maturity of evo owners? yo man. fuck you!

holy crap are you a baby? you want to know about those cars, READ! Road & Track, Car and Driver, Motortrend...all of these magazines have tons of helpful information about these cars. I can't believe you are bringing in the VW R32 as an option. WAY WAY WAY overpriced for what is does. M3 if you have the money to get it supercharged and chipped your straight speed will be really fokin good. Tracking, no it is RWD. 350z and g35, same dam piece of crap take your choice. again they are RWD.

We aren't going to be bashing the OP anymore in this thread. The search function has been suggested, as well as some other things. Don't post anymore if you just want to add flames.

But you have the time, or simply choose to make time so show everyone how much of a loser arse u are?** :2funny:

I know...i know...plenty of kids have momys and dadys who buy them stuff, like cars, and give them allowance* ;) ...let me take a wild guess ...youre still one of these kids?* :2funny: :D :2funny:

Are you still in high school?* Have you taken any English comprehension courses* :?* :idiot2:?* I never said I signed up to prove a point to my friends about the maturity of evo owners…you dumbass :uglystupid2:...I said, I knew the reputation/quality of the evo forums has diminished, and expected comments like the one u posted, so thank you for being the dumbass you are and proving my point either way* :2funny: …as opposed to helpful comments, or a simple car Q & A conversation like most civil ppl do.

Im aware that kids, like yourself, own cars like the evo…kids whose momys and dadys bought them that evo :2funny:*.* And usually its kids, like yourself, who make comments like that because you still live with momy and dady O0 :2funny:, or if u live on your own, momy and dady pay for it  …either way youre still a kid who doesn’t understand enough to extend some common courtesy to your peers…because youre still a kid and don’t know any better.* So why don’t you fcuk off and collect your allowance from momy and dady and buy yourself a new exhaust or chip or something** ^-^?

SERIOUSLY...WTF :tickedoff: is wrong with u ppl. Is this all u assholes do everday?...Sit around, wait for a new guy and reply with bs all day long? U complain and mock new guys when u feel like it because he/she is asking a question thats not up to your standards, or its been asked b4 in a similar form, or for this reason or that reason...??

WTF :tickedoff: ...im lookin to buy a car or two for specific reasons. I dont own an evo...so i want to ask some fcukin ppl who own those specific cars a few questions because they own the car and have some experience with it, not road & track or car & driver...

You can very easily put me in the right direction, if you know how to, or simply not post anything. But you choose to post bs all day long and be an asshole!?!?

Anyhow - my personal opinion is the EVO is not a car for someone who wants to be convinced into buying it.. I believe that if you are in the market for an EVO you understand what your getting into .. its not luxurious in any nature - its raw .. its no R32 when it comes to the interior ... The EVO might not be the car for you if your comparing it to the R32 especially in terms of Performance. An STi might be better if you want some "luxury" emenities but even that isnt R32 like ...

So to conclude it really depends what you plan on doing with the car .. its an expensive daily driver ... Good luck to you .. :D

Evo is a good car... buy it!
go test drive one if you want.

one thing to keep in mind is the Evo is an expensive car to maintain. so if you can barely afford the car you might want to keep this in mind.
