Hey.* I've been on EvoM.net for over a year and a half.* I have an 03 Evo VIII with a few mods - nothing serious yet.* I may be moving to Orange County in '06 so I thought I'd go ahead and sign up here.*

Info/Details:

Me:
I'm 32 years old.* I'm an Industrial Automation Engineer and I'm ex Navy.* Ive always had hot cars or trucks. (Yes, I went through the lowrider thing!)* I've owned a few fast Hondas, a Porsche 911 Turbo, and a few others.* I bought the Evo VIII because I couldn't find a Evo 6.5 TME for sale under $40k.

Car:
2003 Rally Red Evo VIII (GSR or whatever)
Hotchkis springs
DC Sports catless DP
Greddy Evo2 catback
"EvoDave" modded headlights and taillights (EvoDave is on EvoM.net)
B&M Shorty shifter
Ingalls Stiffy ETD
Exedy Twin Disc clutch (preparing for war!)
several other small things like SS brake lines, SS Clutch line, Ferodo DS2500s, shorty antenna, Alpine, bla bla bla.

Whew - At least he's a n00b that acknowledges his "n00bness". ;)

I think you'll find a lot of like-minded folks here. We try to avoid the nonsense that EvoM sprouts, but sometimes it pops up, just not to the same extent. Welcome!

Yes...definitely trying to avoid the EvoM nonsense. Ive been a member of a local forum in Nashville for 5 years now and I really like the local/regional forums better. It just seems to be more productive when the people on the board know each other. As for the nOObness...don't worry, I know exactly where the search button is!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I was stationed in California for 4 1/2 years while I was in the Navy. 2 1/2 in San Diego, 1 year in Vallejo, and 1 year at Alameda NAS. I dearly miss living in SoCal. That's why I am planning to move back in 06. :coolsmiley:

Glad to have you here O0

Definitely come to a mini meet or the next major one. One of the things about socalevo is a lot of us know each other and interact in the real world so it is a lot tighter here. Welcome on board!
