no he didnt, he saved himself the hassle of electrical problems and a nasty oil leak...i have a friend who used to road race m3's (factory tuned, custom tuned, etc different teams; self funded) and is in many respects, a bmw specialist/expert. he has nothing good to say about the new m5's. the one absinthe got is definately the right choice. Is it just me, or are all BMW enthusiasts really against new model BMW's until like 3-4 years into a model? Like when the 2001/2002's came out, a bunch of people harped on it for sucking, but now they are "the model to get". Same with the late 90's models...

maybe that's it...but seriously, this guy is hardcore into bimmers. that's why i would believe him. if he were just some ricer i knew, i would think he was spitting out magazine talk he read and not bother stating what i did.

A freind of mine has one that is the same year. With pullies, exhaust, and some engine managment it is putting down 365 WHP on 19's. They are beast.

what type of dyno? its my understanding that a stock one puts down 350-360whp on a dynojet

No you don't unless its on some moon dyno, 450whp is approaching 500crank hp and well over the 470 claimed for the Dinan s2 package, so it can happen but not from those small mods on a NA car maybe 20-30 more hp max, thats 100whp give or take, and dinan management for these cars stinks its good for about 2 hp and has been known to make some basic cars run worse; although it works on his S2 car.

that sounds about right 18-28whp over stock which is right around the 30 or so crank horse power mark.
