1/4 in mid 13s. psh, maybe with me driving. ive noticed that C&D is very abusive to the cars they test, but they dont even get good numbers.

they said that the evo clutch is murder to operate (but in every issue insist that when buying a BMW, their favorite car, to get a manual). i dunno about them, i tried to learn stick on a 328i, what a POS. the evo is 4359874316876x easier to drive than my 328

ok thats pretty funny about the srt10 pickups. i have a friend who loves that pickup and is always joking about if he got one, he could kill my evo. but those numbers dont exactly show 'killing'.

those cars are powerful but also heavy...if you have the right mods they should be no problem. unless you run into a modded SRT!

Isn't the 1/4th time for the 300c SRT-8 low 13's?

Those numbers are track numbers from experienced drivers who have launched hundreds of cars, looking for that perfect 0-60 time. 99% of drivers on the road can't match those numbers. That's what makes cars like Evos, S4s, STis, and even 911s so fast for the average driver - they are capable of repeatable launches because traction is not a factor. If you overcook the Evo, you might smell some clutch. If you overcook one of those SRT cars, you'll be spinning tires down the entire 1/4 mile.

That said, I really like those SRT-8 Chargers... they look mean as hell. O0

i wasnt saying i couldnt be beat ...just saying numbers dont show 'killing'. and yes, that HENNESSY truck could kill an evo.

i applaud dodge for the effort and yes, i will give props to the performance of those vehicles. having said that, i really dont like any of them. dont like the styling, and other factors. good numbers ...but i would rather buy something else.

yes i dont like them either but wats with all the damn power if u cant even use it??? like really come on does a damn truck really need 500hp to be driving around???

This is wat pisses me off cause they came cars with alot of power that u can use anyways so y make them??? its just a waste of time and $$$

ive spanked a couple of those srt trucks, an 04 and a 05, both with bolt ons, chipped and squezze. theyre really fast for trucks, but the traction kills them, specially on the street

the truck weights about 5700 500hp or not you have a 2500 weight advantage on them.

Had a run with a Magnum with the Hemi in it. It was from a roll about 25 and he ate my lunch! Hopefully I catch him around again as I want to see what it can do standing start! O0

I'm stock but I was definatley surprised for sure. There is another Evo here in town that has some work done to it and the guy said that one smoked him bad.

Stock for stock they are pretty potent. Then again they better be!

that's an auto vs. manual race right there. you can get rev's higher and thus use more of your power output than he could(given it was a stoplight to stoplight run like im assuming). if it were a mile race, he might have been trouble for you.

Actually no it was a 2 lane divided and we had a good long empty space to do it. I was slow to react also so that didn't help either! :idiot2:

Cal City is in the middle of nowhere !

Stock for stock, there are a lot of cars that can eat an Evo for lunch; but the beauty of the Evo is that for relatively little in mods, the Evo will clean house.

you should be ashamed losing to that POS magnum.
and as for the truck thing...
if anyone races a truck, they should be shot.

The list is long and distinguished: Corvette C6, Porsche 911 S, any Viper, M3, etc. etc. etc. Keep in mind this is against a STOCK Evo. Modded, it all goes out the window, hence the point of my first post!

You guys should know I love Evos - just don't get sucked into thinking it is the "do all, end all" of performance cars. For the money, nothing is better - that I agree with.
