I just received a pin, plaque and more vacation time from work for being with the company for 5 years. I now receive 3 weeks paid vacation per year plus they gave me an addition week for this year. This means that I'll get 4 weeks paid vacation time this year. I plan on spending them wisely on midweek track days! O0
This may not seem like much to most people, but in the volatile IT world today, 5 years is a lifetime. Truth be told, this is the longest I have ever worked for one place. 4 years at EarthLink was the next longest and several other 3 year stints.
