I tried to post this linky in the Motorsports forum and the system is throwing all sorts of extra crap on it.

www.opentrackracing.com

It happened here too. The first thing in that string I typed was the first "w" -- system added all that other crap before the link. What gives??? :buck2:

its because the website name is too many characters. There appears to be some sort of cap at like 19 or 20 characters. I had the same issue in an earlier post.

i thought maybe the

It's a new thing. Maybe happened whenever the forums were last patched/updated.

Was there an update from the people that make the forum code? Maybe that jacked it up. :?

true...

dolphin.twistification.net
www.dolphin.twistification.net
www.dolphin.twiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiistification.net
www.dolphintwistification.net

mitsubishipartsstore.com
www.mitsubishipartsstore.com

opentrackracing.com
www.opentrackracing.com
www.opentrackracing.net
www.opentrackracin.com

so i've figured out it only does it if there's a "www." at the front and a word of 15 characters or more in between periods...

it seems that things changed after we had the front page hacked... which Dino decided to do some updates after that...

It's the target tag... it's not allowed since it's HTML based.

This needs to be changed over to be allowed again. Noone can post links anymore. At all.

This should be fixed, it affected long URLs because the forum thinks it's one word and tries to split it up.

this is fixed now. the limit was set to 50 characters. we set this on purpose because a certain socalevo member with a super long username was jacking everything up.
