I heard from a friend that the evo rs will not be in production anymore. Is that true? :'(

Does anybody know or what?

Seems like "or what"... They have made RS models at least as far back as the Evo VI and every Evo since then, so I don't know why they'd stop. I only wish the RS had ABS and I would get one.

This is where I found that Rumor:
Why'd you buy it from a dealer in AZ?

boioioioioing!

I miss my friend's '04 RS - I should've bought it from him when I had the chance. Ah well. Awesome buy! Simply my favorite car to drive.

2006 is the LAST year you can buy the RS in the USA -- Mitsubishi is only going to have the regular EVO and MR in 2007

...sad but true

..they figure not enough American's want manual windows, manual door locks and NO sunroof or alarm.. lol

Ahhh - They probably mean the Evo IX won't have an RS model in the US. I am not sure how they're going to structure the Evo X (and on). That makes sense since the RS is the slowest-selling version.

there is an 06 rs out right now, i would imagine that the evo X will change the levels and characteristics of the evo altogether so maybe you wont see one when the X comes out.

I meant that from what I read there, there would be no 2007 Evo RS... I know there is a 2006 RS... :uglystupid2: ;)

or when the X comes out it will only be sold in the "RS" version. that'd be cool - keep it a track monster like it should

The X is supposed to be a move upmarket (better interior, more amenities, etc.), but it is precisely because of that that I think the X will spawn more hardcore versions (RS or whatever else they want to call it).

that would be cool to see the upscale X and a super hardcore X. my VIII is a little tame, i should maybe strip out the interior

If I end up with a used Evo, the interior is getting gutted and stiffened. O0
