Hey Guys:

Anyone in the LA area know of a good VW mechanic?

My friend bought a VW bus yesterday and is coming in to pick it up. It's been sitting for a while and she wants to get it inspected quickly before she drives back to Arizona.

Thanks in advance.

Peaz-out, mans!

VW buses belong somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. Damn hippies with their shitty vehicles. :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

Try VW Specialties in Huntington Beach. I know he works on watercooled but I am not too sure about aircooled. He is known as the VW Guru.

I worked on aircooled VWs for many years. I'd be happy to take a look at it. PM me if you require my services.

Well, it turns out she bought the bus.
Never returned my phone calls with suggestions.
Then she stopped for gas somewhere along the 10 past "Other desert cities."

Then her starter broke.

ooooooops.
Long walk to Phoenix....

:2funny: Someone should drop an old aircooled 911 engine in a bus. Then i'd actually like the thing.
