Last time I answered this, Billy shot his wad all over the place and wanted to beat me down. My payments are.... $0. I wrote a check to HB mitsu for the full price, no payments. No, I'm not rich. I refinanced my house to get a better interest rate and pulled out enough cash to buy my Evo and a car for the Mrs.

If it was a year end sale, Mitsu was offering good rebates/incentives for the 05 models. That could be a factor in the price. But yea 31999 is a good deal for an 06.

S2myEVO

i know you guys dont believe me but i got the papers to back me up on this deal.
i got my car from a dealership. The only one they had for that price.
here's the catch why it was so cheap.
the guy at the dealer bought it for another guy but the guy they bought it for didnt end up wanting it so they just wanted to get rid of it. Thats where i stepped in and made a deal.
the only bad thing is that the car doesnt run.
was missing BOV, Intake, Heat shield, Timing belt cover, O2 sensor(it was cut), Radiator(needed to be replaced),Electrical Fan, couple of bolts and i thiiiink thats it.

but still cmon u cant argue for a 14k price tag.
reason i got payments so low is because i had a pretty nice credit score and my credit union helped out big time! they even gave me a 5 year/75k mile bumper to bumper service contract.
i got mad hooks.. hahahah jk

My monthly payment is $377. I got 22,000 for my trade. Edmunds had it listed at a very real trade in value of 21,700. I found Kelly Blue Book to be highly optimistic, but their numbers helped negotiate the trade in price. My trade in had $7,677 equity in it. I also put down $3000 on the Evo 9 GSR.

There are incredible deals on the 9 out there. I got mine for $27499 with the destination charge and loyalty rebate included. The deals will get even better as the year goes on and the X is about to be released. A friend of mine told me that he saw a 9 advertised for $25,000, but I have no idea where that was.

^^ did your parent cosign?

$82 insurance?? is the car even in your name or do you have like 10 cars all on the same plan for group discount?

Sorry if I'm jacking this thread but I wanted to know if re-financing the car is something to ponder. I bought the car last July and have been paying $452/month @ 8.2% for 60 months. I currently owe a little less than $23k. If I re-fi, will there be a significant change?

Thanks!
